A new video is giving the public a behind-the-scenes look at the future of healthcare in Lanarkshire.
NHS Lanarkshire has released the latest footage from its Monklands Replacement Project, showcasing the progress of preparatory works for the new University Hospital Monklands.
The video features sweeping drone shots of the Wester Moffat site in Airdrie, where construction partner Laing O’Rourke has been carrying out extensive enabling works.

Ben Warr, structures senior engineer, said: "We’re making big progress on site.
"Last year, we excavated nearly 300,000 cubic meters of soil - enough to fill 120 Olympic-sized swimming pools."
Site engineer Abby Cruickshank explained the challenges involved in levelling the ground.
She said: "We've drilled 2280 holes at a depth of around 20 meters.
"We used a total of 335 tons of grout to fill the holes and stabilise the ground."
Beyond construction, the video also highlights the community benefits delivered through the project.
Irene Gibb, senior social value advisor, said: "We’ve delivered more than £135,000 through toy and clothes donations, local employment, education initiatives and much more.
"We’ve also employed 9 graduates and 8 apprentices."
Gerry Vallianatos, Laing O’Rourke project manager, said: "Last year, we installed the Immersive Suite at the existing hospital, carried out a scope of mine treatment and installed more than 5 kilometres of fencing.
"All this to provide residents with state-of-the-art healthcare facilities - and that means a lot."

Monklands Replacement Project director Graeme Reid explained that the video serves as both an update and a record of what has been achieved so far.
He said: "This is the latest of our eye-catching videos, combining a bird’s-eye view of work on the site with an informative summary from the Laing O’Rourke team of what has happened at Wester Moffat in the last year and more."
The Scottish Government is currently reviewing the project’s full business case.
If approved, construction of the hospital will move forward, with an opening targeted for 2031.
