A surprise pop-up performance has set the tone for a global festival coming to Glasgow this summer.
Scottish folk trio Talisk played an unannounced acoustic set in Kelvingrove Park ahead of WOMAD Glasgow, which takes place from July 3 to 4 and marks the first time the internationally renowned festival will be held in Scotland.
Talisk, who have performed at WOMAD festivals around the world, entertained park visitors with acoustic renditions of their tracks Echo, Abyss and Lava.

Mohsen Amini of Talisk said: "The response in the park was just lovely, after playing WOMADs literally all around the world and with such an incredible backdrop, we know that this is going to be a festival for the history books.
"Playing our sixth WOMAD at the same time as launching a brand new album in our home city is a match made in heaven.
"We've so much music to share with everyone and the vibes are going to be off the charts."
The trio performed on picnic hill, which will be the location of the festival’s Lookout Stage and offers views of the University of Glasgow’s iconic spire.
WOMAD Glasgow will bring artists from around the world to Kelvingrove Park for a weekend of music, art and culture.
Talisk are scheduled to perform on the Lookout Stage on Friday, July 3.
