R-CADE closing for 'duration of TRNSMT' in Glasgow Green

A unique café has announced it has shut its doors from now until the end of TRNSMT Festival in Glasgow Green.

R-CADE in the Saltmarket will stop serving customers until June 25 as the music event rolls into town this weekend.

The business which operates from Thursday to Sunday, said in a statement, that the café will welcomes customers again after TRNSMT ends.

Bosses also issued a plea to music fans to stay safe and be respectful to businesses in the area during the event.

A spokesperson said: "R-CADE is closed, for the next 9 days that is. Due to the TRNSMT festival being held in Glasgow Green this weekend we will be closed from now until the 24th of June, opening back up as normal from Thursday the 25th.

"We have a whole bunch of awesome events lined up this summer, so please make sure to visit our ticket page at www.rcadeglasgow.com/booknow, book some events and passes, and help us recover from having to be closed for a week!

"If you are heading to TRNSMT, have fun, please be safe, and respect the people and businesses you interact with over the weekend."

R-CADE opened in 2018 offering a boardgame café, video game arcade, event space and community hub.
