A charity has launched a 10-episode podcast to explore the unanswered questions around trauma and recovery.

Glasgow-based Thriving Survivors, which supports people across Scotland who have experienced trauma, began the series to mark its 10th anniversary in 2026.

Fronted by host Jen Wilson, the podcast is the centrepiece of the charity’s wider 10 in 10 anniversary programme, featuring 10 events and activities throughout the year.

The podcast, titled ’10 Questions For Change’, features weekly episodes exploring one of 10 key questions the charity says remain unresolved within Scotland’s trauma and recovery systems.

Guests include professionals, survivors, and representatives from organisations such as Victim Support Scotland, Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS), and Andy’s Man Club.

Each episode delves into topics including trauma-informed practice, restorative justice, sibling sexual abuse, lived experience, men’s mental health, health inequalities, and women’s safety.

Founded in 2016, Thriving Survivors delivers survivor-led support and works to promote trauma-informed approaches across sectors.

The charity has spent the past decade championing the role of lived experience in shaping services and systems for people affected by trauma.

The podcast aims to challenge assumptions, spark new thinking within the sector, and highlight areas where meaningful change is still required.

Episodes combine professional insight with lived experience to provide a well-rounded exploration of each issue.

The podcast is part of a larger programme of anniversary activities, with events and conversations designed to bring together survivors, frontline professionals, funders, and community leaders.

The 10 in 10 programme reflects on how trauma support has evolved over the past decade.

Thriving Survivors continues to advocate for approaches rooted in empathy, understanding, and the real-world experiences of survivors.

Ashley Scotland, founder and chief executive of Thriving Survivors, said: "Ten years ago we started this organisation because we believed that survivors’ voices needed to be at the heart of how trauma support is shaped and delivered.

"A decade on, we’re incredibly proud of how far the conversation has come, but there is still so much more to do.

"The podcast felt like a natural way to mark this milestone.

"By bringing together guests from organisations like Victim Support Scotland, CHAS and Andy’s Man Club, we can have honest, in-depth conversations about the questions that still don’t have easy answers."
