A young woman has been left shaken after she was robbed at knifepoint in a local play park.

The incident took place in a play park on Old Mill Road in Uddingston at around 11.45pm on June 30.

The 20-year-old woman was within the park when she was approached by a man who threatened her with a knife and then robbed her of her personal items.

The man is around 20-years-old, around 5ft 10in tall, of thin build and wearing an all-black tracksuit with the hood up.

Detective Constable David Telfer said: “This incident left the woman understandably shaken.

"The man took possession of her bag and then dropped it, before making off.

“Our extensive enquiries are ongoing, and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who was in the area and who may have dash cam or private CCTV that could assist to contact us.”
