A Glasgow Just Eat driver says he was left in tears after a masked mob pelted him with eggs and assaulted him as he dropped off food.
Abdul Begam was dropping off a McDonald's order at a flat in Rutherglen when he says he was approached by a group of around 10 young people who began to hurl racist abuse at him.
As the 42-year-old approached the buzzer for the block on Western Avenue dozens of eggs were thrown at him hitting his head.

Trying to back away from the scene, he says some members of the mob following him before yelling "go home" and "leave the country."
Abdul, who moved to Glasgow from Spain in 2020, says he was left frightened and in tears after the attack.
Speaking to the Glasgow Times, he said: "I was really so shocked and it didn’t know what was happening. I was crying, saying ‘please leave me’.
"It was 11 o'clock in the evening and it was very quiet, so there was nobody else that could help me.
"I ran away and but they came and three or four of them started throwing eggs again and they started to punch to me as well.
"I just tried to start my car and I put my bag on the passenger side and they started shouting ‘go home’, ‘Call the police’ and ‘leave the country.’"
Dad of four, Abdul says he phoned police who came to see him and took a statement of events.
Detectives say they are making enquiries into the attack but no arrests have been made yet.

Reflecting on the event, Abdul says he has been left traumatised but has had to go back to work in order to pay the bills.
He now hopes that CCTV taken from nearby may help with tracking down those responsible.
He added; "I was really surprised and shocked, this is the first time this has happened to me. I came from Spain in 2020 and there are so many kind and nice people here.
"I heard things like this have happened in England but what has happened has really traumatized me.
"I have four kids and I came here for the better future for them."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.20pm on Tuesday, 11 August, 2026, we received a report of a man having been assaulted on Western Avenue, Rutherglen.
“Officers attended, but the man did not require medical treatment.
“A search of the area was carried out but no one was traced. Enquiries remain ongoing.”
