Respects are being paid to a "wonderful" former Depute Provost of South Lanarkshire who has now died.
Pam Clearie served as a Councillor for the Cambuslang East ward for a decade between 2007 and 2017.
Going above and beyond, she also helped bring forward the Good Morning South Lanarkshire scheme which used telephones to check up on elderly residents of the area to ensure their wellbeing.

I was very sorry to hear this news. Pam was a hard working local representative, a dedicated member of the Labour Party and even just a few weeks ago when I caught up with her she was still engaged in the political debates of the day. My thoughts are with her family at this time. https://t.co/DK6NGODrri

A post from Rutherglen Constituency Labour Party's Facebook account read: "We are sad to share the news of the passing of local member and former councillor, Pam Clearie.
"Pam represented her constituents in Cambuslang with distinction for many years and served dutifully as Depute Provost for South Lanarkshire.
"Pam was a stalwart of our movement and will be remembered fondly."
The love shown in Pam's memory goes beyond her work, as one commenter labelled her a "wonderful and kind woman."
Pam is survived by her husband, Russel, another councillor and former South Lanarkshire Provost.
They were well known as a pair, with another commenter wrote: "Very sorry to hear this. May she rest in peace. Thinking of Russell and all the family."
