Legendary magician Penn Jillette is set to perform in Glasgow as part of a new UK tour.

Penn will appear alongside America’s Got Talent star Piff the Magic Dragon in the duo’s new show, Piff & Pop’s Magic Shoppe, which will stop at the Pavilion Theatre on Monday, September 21.

The show marks Penn’s first major project without his longtime stage partner Teller in more than 50 years.

It also marks Piff’s first return to UK stages in more than a decade.

Piff the Magic Dragon said: "After 10 years and more than 2000 shows at the Flamingo Las Vegas, I’m coming home to where it all started, and I’m bringing my Pop (Which is American for Dad)!

"I can’t wait to show him every great thing about Britain, from the food to the fanatical love of mythical creature-based magic.

"This will be a father / son bonding trip for the books!"

The show promises a night of magic, comedy, and theatrical spectacle, delivered in two acts.

The first half features solo performances from both "Pop" (Penn Jillette) and Piff the Magic Dragon, along with Mr Piffles, the world’s only magic-performing chihuahua.

Audiences can expect Penn’s sharp storytelling and expert sleight of hand alongside Piff’s eccentric humour and offbeat illusions.

The second half brings the duo together for a collaborative performance described as a "larger-than-life finale."

Penn Jillette said: "We’ve done our TV show, Penn & Teller Fool Us, for well over a decade and saw almost 400 magicians perform for us.

"Piff the Magic Dragon grabbed me right away-perfect magic, funny, and totally original.

"We became fast friends, and now we’ve decided to work together. I get to play ‘Pop the Magic Dragon’ and it’s already as much fun as anything I’ve ever done. I hope you get to see some of it."

Penn Jillette is best known as one half of the legendary duo Penn and Teller, who have redefined modern magic with their long-running Las Vegas residency and numerous television appearances.

The pair have headlined the Rio Hotel and Casino since 2001, making theirs the longest-running residency in Las Vegas history.

In recent years, they were inducted into the Magic Circle.

Piff the Magic Dragon, born John van der Put in Forest Hill, London, rose to international fame after appearing on America’s Got Talent.

He has since performed more than 2000 shows at the Flamingo Las Vegas, earning a reputation for his quirky humour, inventive illusions, and viral social media presence—amassing 6.2 million likes on TikTok alongside Mr Piffles.

In a playful statement, Pop said: "My son, Piff The Magic Dragon, is the international superstar of magic.

"He’s a genius, funny and rich.

"And, well, the brilliant apple doesn’t fall far from the magical tree, so his tree, Pop The Magic Dragon, will be touring with him in the biggest and greatest magic show the world has ever seen. Way bigger than Penn & Teller."
