Celtic star Yang Hyun-jun will only play in the Asian Games Final if he can prove he is 100 per cent fit.

The South Korean manager, Lee Min-sung, said Yang's "protection is the priority".

Yang declared himself fit for the semi-final against China, after recovering from a hamstring strain, but was an unused substitute.

South Korea will face hosts Japan in Toyota for the gold medal.

A win would exempt Yang from future military conscription.

Lee Min-sung said: "It is not easy for Yang Hyun-jun to maintain his 100 per cent physical condition yet.

"We need to check his physical fitness before the final.

"The national team is borrowing these players from their clubs by calling them up.

"So I think it is only right to send them back to their clubs in full physical condition and in good health."
