Alt-J have announced they will be going on tour in the UK and Ireland in May 2022, playing at a selected number of venues.

The Dream Tour will seem the indie rock band start off in Glasgow before finishing off in Birmingham.

A trip outside the UK to Dublin will be in-between those gigs.

The band posted on their Twitter about the tour saying: "Really cannot wait to get back to some of our favourite cities. Glasgow - famously the best crowds there are. Leeds - where it all began...

"Manchester - the city that first loved us. London - our adoptive home town. Dublin - best night out going. Belfast, a city we are long overdue a return to, and finishing in Birmingham, the heart of the country. It's going to be big."

Alt-J were formed in 2007 in Leeds, and have released three albums ahead of The Dream album which will come out next year.
