A MAN has been rushed to hospital after he was attacked with a bladed weapon in the city's East End. 

The 65-year-old was seriously assaulted inside a premises on London Road around 7.15pm yesterday evening. 

Emergency services raced to the scene and the man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for his injuries. 

His current condition is unknown. 

Officers said enquiries into the incident are ongoing. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.15pm on Monday, March 28, officers were called to a report of a 65-year-old man having been seriously assaulted with a bladed weapon at a premises on London Road, near to Orr Street, Glasgow.

"The man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary to be treated for his injuries.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
