AN assault has been reported on a city centre street early this morning.
Cops raced to Argyle Street around 5.55am following the report.
Officers did not give any more information and said enquiries into the incident are at an early stage.
An image shared on Facebook page No1seems2care earlier today showed a number of police vans parked near Glasgow Central Station this morning.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called around 5.55am on Saturday, April 2, to a report of an assault in the Argyle Street area of Glasgow.
"Enquiries are at an early stage."
