Two men have been rushed to hospital following an incident in Rutherglen this afternoon.
The Glasgow Times previously reported that police were in attendance at Main Street today after receiving reports of a disturbance at around 2:45 pm.
It has now been confirmed that emergency services transported two men from the scene for urgent medical care.
No further details as to the men's ages, injuries or which hospital they have been taken to have been released.
Police are now asking that anyone with any information regarding the incident contacts them as soon as possible.
A police spokesperson said: "At around 2.45 pm on Sunday, April 3 officers were called to a report of a disturbance in Main Street, Rutherglen.
"Two men were taken to hospital for treatment and enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
"Anyone with information or potential video footage of the incident is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident 1811 of April 3."
