EMERGENCY crews were seen by the River Clyde after concern was raised for a person.

Police officers, ambulances and the Coastguard Rescue Service were on the scene and a boat was seen near the Jamaica Street bridge.

Dozens of cops were seen standing near the river.

A helicopter was also seen overhead at about 10.30pm on Sunday evening.

Officers confirmed that they had responded to a concern for a person report near Albert Bridge.

A man has been taken to hospital.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.30pm on Sunday, April 17, officers were called to reports of concern for a person near Albert Bridge, Glasgow. 

"Officers attended and a man was taken to hospital."
