THE hunt is on for a group of masked men who nicked a plush car after breaking into a house in Dumbarton.

Three thieves broke into the property at around 1.10am this morning, April 28, on Campbell Avenue and stole the keys.

They made off in a white Audi S5 with the registration number EG16 SON.

The first suspect was wearing a grey/black jacket with his hood up, black jogging bottoms and black trainers.

The second was dressed in a blue hooded top, back jogging bottoms and blue trainers, while the third suspect was wearing a dark jumper with a grey hood/snood, jogging bottoms and trainers.

All three were wearing face coverings and gloves.

Now officers are investigating the incident and are urging people in the area to come forward if they have CCTV footage that could help.

Detective Constable Iain Allison, of Clydebank CID, said: “Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who has information or who may live in the area and heard or saw anything suspicious to contact police immediately.

“Likewise, if anyone was in the area and has dash-cam footage, CCTV or doorbell cameras I would encourage you to check your footage for anything of relevance.

“Although the property was secure, I would also like to take this opportunity to remind homeowners to review their security - make sure to keep your doors and windows locked at all times.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0129 of April 28, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
