A MAN has been cleared of throwing faeces and urine at a nurse after prosecutors pulled the plug on the case.

Terence Adams, 35, allegedly assaulted the female nurse at Glasgow's Rowanbank Clinic on January 1, 2020.

Court papers state Adams did this in the course of her duties.

It was claimed he poured faeces and urine on her head.

Adams faced a second charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at the same time and place.

He was said to have thrown faeces on to furniture and the floor.

Adams, of the city's Barlornock, was due to go on trial last week at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

But, prosecutors decided not to call the case.

A Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal spokesperson said: “Prosecutors have a duty to keep cases under review and after careful consideration of the facts and circumstances, including the available admissible evidence, the Procurator Fiscal decided that there should be no proceedings taken at this time.

"The Crown reserves the right to proceed in the future should further evidence become available."
