THREE people who were not wearing life jackets had to be rescued from Loch Lomond after their boat capsized.
A rescue operation was launched after the alarm was raised to Police Scotland at around 10.11am on Sunday.
The casualties had gotten into trouble at the popular beauty spot between Inchcailloch and Torrinch.
Loch Lomond Rescue Boat said rescuers arrived to find the trio were not wearing life jackets.
The casualties were recovered from the water and taken to the Duncan Mills Memorial Slipway, where they were then handed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
Posting on Facebook, Loch Lomond Rescue Boat (LLRB) said that “lives were saved”.
Park rangers helped to tow the boat to Milarrochy, where it was dragged onto the shoreline.
LLRB said: “Thankfully lives were saved today.
“LLRB stood down and returned to base. Thank you to all emergency services today and others involved.
“If on the water please wear life jackets.”
