POLICE remain at the scene where a man was found seriously injured and later died.

Cops rushed to a property in Glenalmond Street in the Sandyhills area of the city on Sunday evening where they found the 47-year-old.

He died at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

A police van is still stationed at the property as a man is due in court today in connection with the death. 

The 48-year-old will appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.50pm on Sunday, May 1, 2022, police received a report of a 47-year-old man injured within a property in Glenalmond Street, Glasgow.

"The man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but died a short time later.

"A 48-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death.

"He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.

"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
