The Glasgow Times continues to search for the cheapest petrol prices in the city as part of our Beat the Squeeze campaign.

This week Costco has come out on top once again with prices coming in at 153.7p per litre.

The Cobden Road store's cost for diesel has remained the same as last week at 167.9p per litre.

Comparison website PetrolPrices.com found that Morrisons took the number two spot with their Newlands, Anniesland and Auchinlea stores charging 158.7p per litre.

If you find yourself on the outskirts of the city, then it might be an idea to fill up on fuel at Morrisons Cambuslang and Giffnock or Asda in Bishopbriggs and Bearsden who are also selling for 158.7p per litre.

After, Costco the above locations are also your best bet for diesel with all except for Morrisons Cambuslang (172.9p) charging 172.7p per litre.

The next Asda stores on the list are Toryglen and Govan where adding to the tank will cost you 159.7p per litre.

For the same price, you could visit the Gulf Service Station on Aikenhead Road.

If Sainsbury's is your shop of choice then their cheapest offering for petrol is at the Braehead location with 159.9p per litre

When it comes to Tesco, the cheapest choices are the St Rollox and Shettleston Extra stores or, slightly further from the city centre, the Rutherglen Extra at 160.9p per litre.

Rounding off this week's list you will find petrol for 160.9p per litre at the Esso on Paisley Road West or 161.9p at the BP on Alexandra Parade.
