A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of a Polish national who was found dead in a burnt-out car more than three years ago.
The body of Rafal Lyko, 36, was discovered in Greenhall Park in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire, on February 11, 2019.
Mr Lyko had travelled to Scotland from his native Poland two days before he was murdered.
On Monday, Police Scotland announced that a 25-year-old suspect had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
Thomas Wilson, of Glasgow, made no plea when he appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court to face the murder charge.
The case was committed for further examination with Wilson released on bail meantime.
His next court appearance is yet to be confirmed.
