A MAN wanted in connection with rape, assault and stalking allegations has been arrested in Paisley.

Police in Lancashire had previously appealed over the whereabouts of Owen Buck, 23, who was wanted in connection with the offences which were allegedly committed between November last year and January. 

Officers previously said they believed Buck was in Scotland as he is understood to have links to Irvine, Stevenston and Dalry in North Ayrshire.

Cops have now confirmed he was arrested on Paisley's Argyle Street.

In a statement on Facebook, Lancashire Police said: "Yesterday we asked for your help locating a man named Owen Buck, aged 23, who was wanted in connection with allegations of rape, criminal damage, assault and stalking between November 2021 and January this year.

"A 23-year-old man has since been arrested in the Paisley area of Scotland.

"Many thanks for your assistance."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Tuesday, May 10, 2022, acting on behalf of Lancashire Constabulary, officers from Police Scotland arrested a 23-year-old man on Argyle Street, Paisley.

"He was handed over to Lancashire Constabulary."
