A BOY was left injured following an altercation at Bellshill station, resulting in train services being disrupted.
British Transport Police were called to Bellshill station at 3.46pm today, Friday, May 13, following reports of an altercation involving a group of youths on board a train.
The force said the boy suffered minor injuries.
As a result, commuters in North Lanarkshire have been warned of delays to services running through the station.
Scotrail has alerted passengers to the disruption on its Twitter account.
The company said police officers are currently in attendance.
A tweet reads: "The police are dealing with an incident at Bellshill station.
"We're expecting this to cause delays to trains towards Lanark and Edinburgh."
