Man arrested and released as cops probe sexual assault in Sauchiehall Lane
A MAN has been arrested and released as cops probe a report of sexual assault in the city centre.
The force is currently investigating the report that a 21-year-old woman was sexually assaulted near Sauchiehall Lane in the early hours of Saturday morning.
A 23-year-old was arrested and released pending further enquiries.
Officers are continuing to investigate the full circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Between 12am and 12.10am on Saturday, May 14, officers received a report of a 21-year-old woman having been sexually assaulted near to Sauchiehall Lane, Glasgow.
“A 23-year-old man was arrested and released pending further enquiries.
“Police enquiries are continuing.”
