A COATBRIDGE pensioner has been found after his 'extremely' out of character disappearance. 

Ronald Chisolm, 74, was last seen driving his Kia Venga along the M77 near Silverburn at around 3.45pm on Tuesday.

Officers grew concerned as a search was launched due to Mr Chisolm's unusual behaviour. 

Inspector Lyndsey McFarlane, from Coatbridge Police Station had said: "It is extremely out-of-character for Ronald to be gone for this long and concerns for his wellbeing are growing as time passes."

Police Scotland have now informed the public that Mr Chsiolm was traced safe and well, and thanked them for their assistance.
