The group seems to include young women and some are wearing Rangers tops and scarves.
In the video, filmed by a motorist, some of the group start pushing and kicking before a woman is shoved to the ground.
She then starts kicking as men and women in the crowd grab and pull her by the hair.
Another woman is seen pulling her to the ground and then starting to furiously punch the first woman's head and face.
Some in the crowd are seen intervening to stop the fight which was blocking the traffic on the city centre road.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are aware of reports of a disturbance on Jamaica Street near to Argyll Street on Wednesday, 18 May, 2022.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
It comes after Rangers were defeated by Eintracht Frankfurt at the UEFA Europa League final in Seville last night.
