A TEENAGER has been taken to hospital following a disturbance in East Kilbride.
Cops were called to the town's Owen Avenue at around 10pm last night following reports of a disturbance involving a number of people.
Police did not reveal anything about the nature of the incident or how many people were involved.
One male youth was taken to Hairmyres Hospital for treatment following the disturbance and officers have confirmed an investigation is now underway.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a disturbance involving a number of people in the Owen Avenue area of East Kilbride around 10pm on Friday, May 21.
"One male youth was taken to Hairmyres Hospital for treatment following the incident and enquiries are ongoing."
