SCOTRAIL has announced a new temporary timetable to improve their services after driver shortages.
The rail company has made the changes to be in effect from Monday, May 23 in a bid to provide more certain and reliable services.
This comes after a number of drivers have had to work overtime or on their rest days to accommodate the current timetable, as the pandemic caused delays in training new drivers.
An announcement by drivers' union ASLEF has also meant that these drivers have made themselves less available for overtime and rest day working.
ScotRail said: "We want to resolve this dispute with the trade unions and move forward together to provide the safest, greenest, and most reliable railway we can for Scotland.
"In the meantime, we’re asking customers to check your journey as your train times may have changed."
They added that they were working on temporary timetables for Saturdays and Sundays, and will update customers on these in the coming days.
Customers can keep up with timetable changes via the Journey Planner and the ScotRail App and by following ScotRail on Twitter.
