NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde have confirmed that they are bringing back 'person-centred' visiting.

From Monday, May 23, a maximum of two interchangeable people can visit at any one time wherever possible.

The only exception will be in relation to high-risk patients, patient cohorts or in hospital wards enduring an active outbreak of covid.

Social distancing will also no longer be required when visiting the majority of NHS sites across the area.

It may remain in place if there continues to be a requirement for it in a specific department or clinical service, such as residential and care homes.

Visitors are advised to look out for signage relating to this.

Visitors are still strongly advised to take a lateral flow test before visiting, and the wearing of a face covering is still recommended.
