OFFICERS in Glasgow are searching for a man they believe could assist after a city centre sexual assault.

The incident happened near the Portland Bridge, around 9.45pm on Monday, 13 July 2020.

Police have said an 18-year-old woman was uninjured in the incident.

An investigation is ongoing and cops have now released an image of a man who might have information.

The man is described as being black, between 25-30 years old, of medium build and around 6ft tall. He was wearing a light green/cream Northface branded jacket and black trainers.

Officers are asking the man or anyone who recognises him to contact them.

Detective Constable Alexander McCullough, of Govan CID, said: “We are asking for anyone who recognises the man in the image, or for the man himself, to please come forward as it could prove vital to our enquiries.

“Anyone with any information on the incident should call police on 101, quoting incident 4099 of 13 July, 2020. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
