THE OVO Hydro has responded to rumours that concert-goers with a standing ticket for tonight's Bryan Adams show have to sit instead.

Reports began circulating on social media that there would be no standing section in front of the stage at the Canadian singer-songwriter's gig on Monday evening.

The hearsay has concerned ticket holders who paid for a standing ticket, with one Twitter user saying: "Rumours are circling that standing tickets will be converted into seats when at the venue."

Another asked the Hydro: "Can you please respond to rumours that tickets bought for the standing area for Bryan Adams concert has it been changed to seating and if they have then the reason?"

One fan also asked: "Can we just confirm that there is a standing section in front of the floor seats for general admission?"

The city music venue then addressed the confusion by posting an announcement on their social media page.

They said: "We are aware of some rumours circulating online that people with standing tickets for tonight's Bryan Adams show are being forced to sit instead.

"This is untrue: if you have a standing ticket for the show, you will get the full standing experience!"

Bryan Adams will play the Hydro tonight, with doors opening at 6.30pm and the show starting at 8pm.
