CELTIC boss Ange Postecoglou said he is not able to go shopping in the city with his family because people recognise him.

Speaking on Australian radio show Sportsday this week, the 56-year-old discussed how his family adjusted to life in Glasgow.

His wife, Georgia and their two sons, James and Max moved to Scotland with him went he was appointed the Hoops' boss last year.

He said: "Right from the start, it's just that sort of city where, as you guys can imagine it, there's kind of only two clubs that are of any kind of interest in the city of Glasgow and you can't escape it, particularly if you become manager of one of the two clubs.

"It meant adjusting in terms of lifestyle for the family.

"We try to keep it as normal as possible, and I think, the first few times we ventured out to a shopping centre we figured out that doesn't, can't happen anymore, particularly for the family.

"But everyone was really welcoming and I guess, having success helps that but it was an adjustment in terms of the instant recognition people have of me as opposed to when I was back home, a little bit.

"At the same time, you know, I love it. People are just passionate about sport, they are passionate about their football club, that's the stuff I love so I'm happy to fit in with that.

"My family has adjusted really well, I've got two young boys who go to school."

The Australian, who was born in Greece also discussed the challenges of schooling his children and their accents.

He continued: "My boys went to international school in Japan where all the teachers had an American background so they had an American accent in Japan, which annoyed the c**p out of me.

"And now they have come here and they are picking up a bit of Glaswegian as well so they are not going to sound like my kids. They are not going to sound like Aussies at all."
