SHOCKING images show a plush car engulfed in flames in a deliberate attack in Glasgow.

The black BMW was set ablaze on the evening of June 7 in the quiet residential street of Luing Road in Craigton. 

Emergency crews rushed to the scene just before 10pm to tackle the fire.

Another photo showed firefighters putting out the flames, leaving the car completely destroyed and covered in ash, with a huge hole in between the boot and back seat. 

No one was injured as a result of the blaze.

Cops confirmed that they were now investigating the incident which they are treating as a targeted attack.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.50pm on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, emergency services were called to a report of a car on fire on Luing Road in Glasgow.

"No one was injured.

"The fire is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.

"Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3805 of Tuesday, June 7, 2022."

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 9.38pm on Tuesday, June 7 to reports of a car on fire on Luing Road, Glasgow.

"Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the scene to extinguish the fire and make the area safe.

"There were no reported casualties."
