A HUNT has been launched for a man 'carrying a box' following a suspicious package incident at Buchanan Bus Station.

Yesterday afternoon the bus station was evacuated and police cordoned off the area and shut Killermont Street on both sides.

This was due to a 'suspicious package find'.

After officers established there had been no threat to the public, the station re-opened and now they are probing the incident.

Glasgow Times:

A stagecoach driver told the Glasgow Times that they saw a box had been left at the station which was what he claimed raised the alarm.

Cops are keen to track down a man who was seen carrying a cardboard box near Stance 22 at the station.
