A number of ScotRail services face disruption today due to an emergency services incident.

ScotRail first reported the incident on the line near Scotsounthill Station at around 4:10 pm.

A spokesperson for the firm said: "Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident, the line via Scotstounhill/Yoker is blocked.

"Train services running through the area will be cancelled, delayed or revised. We'll look to reroute as many services as we can via the Singer/Anniesland line."

In a later update, it was announced that no trains were running between Yoker and Singer and all power between Finnieston and Dalmuir had been switched off.

At around 4:50 pm power was safely restored and all services were resumed.

A ScotRail representative said: "Some delays and alterations will continue whilst we get crew and units back into position.

"We're sorry for any delays to your journey this may have caused you."

The nature of the incident is unknown at this time.

British Transport Police have been approached for comment and we will bring you updates as we get them.
