WE'RE off to see the wizard at Eastwood Park Theatre as it announces its official 2022 panto.

Leading professional production company Spillers Pantomimes will take to the theatre's stage for the second year in a row with their production of The Wizard of Oz, following the success of last year's Peter Pan.

Eastwood Park Theatre, which is located in Giffnock, will host almost 60 shows from Friday, November 25 until Saturday, December 31.

Glasgow Times:

Scottish actor Garry King, who starred as Smee in Peter Pan last year, will play The Wizard of Oz and co-direct the panto for the second year in a row.

He said: "I’m delighted to be back at Eastwood Park Theatre this Christmas working with my friends at East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure and Spillers.

"We have such an amazing cast and script lined up for everyone to enjoy.

"I can’t wait to get started on this year‘s production."

Glasgow Times:

Kay Spillers, managing director of Spillers Pantomimes, said: "There's no place like Eastwood Park Theatre and we're delighted to be back with The Wizard of Oz for 2022's pantomime.

"Join The Wizard of Oz and the Wicked Witch along with Dorothy as she begins her adventure into the wonderful land of Oz.

"Helped along the way by the lion, tin man and scarecrow, this year's show will be filled with excitement, laughter and panto magic."

Glasgow Times:

Anthony McReavy from East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure added: "We can't wait to welcome Spillers Pantomimes back to Eastwood Park Theatre for The Wizard of Oz.

"Thousands came to sell-out shows last year and the feedback was incredibly positive.

"This year, we're planning an even bigger panto production, with a magical journey along the yellow brick road to Oz.

"The cast from Spillers Pantomimes have even more tricks and surprises up their sleeves this year, so our audiences are in for a real treat."
