A TEENAGER was taken to hospital after a hit-and-run in the city's East End.

Emergency services were called to Gartloch Road around 8am this morning following reports of a road crash involving a Vauxhall Corsa and an unknown car.

A 17-year-old teenage boy was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary following the incident.

Police Scotland has confirmed that an investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances of the crash.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8am on Friday, June 17, police were called to Gartloch Road in Glasgow, following a report of a road crash involving a Vauxhall Corsa and an unknown car.

“The latter vehicle did not stop and a 17-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash.”
