TWO young women were taken to hospital after a road crash in East Kilbride today. 

The two women, aged 23 and 24, were rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow after a car collided with a parked vehicle.

The collision occurred around 12.30am on Sunday, June 19, on the A727, at the Thorntonhall Roundabout.

A 24-year-old woman has also been arrested in relation to the incident, and released pending further enquiries.

Officers in the South Lanarkshire town are now appealing for witnesses.

Sergeant Christopher Hoggans from Police Scotland's Road Policing Unit said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area, or has dash-cam footage around the time, to get in touch via 101 quoting incident 0121 of June 19, 2022.”
