A MAN was taken to hospital with a head injury after he was hit by a car in Barlanark.
Emergency services rushed to Wellhouse Road around 6.50pm yesterday after reports of the incident.
The 41-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with a serious head injury. His condition is stable.
Police Scotland has confirmed that the driver, 34, left the scene but was later arrested and charged.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 6.50pm on Monday, 20 June, to a report of a man being struck by a car in Wellhouse Road, Glasgow.
“The man, aged 41, was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with a serious head injury and his condition is described as stable.
“The driver of the car, a man aged 34, left the scene but was traced and has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 21 June, 2022.”
