UK-wide charity Merchant Navy Association finally opened a Glasgow branch.
The organisation launched its newest and first branches in the city with a special event last week.
During the opening ceremony at Times Square Bar and Diner, the Lord Provost of Glasgow Jacqueline McLaren cut the ribbon on the new office.
They say it's surprising there has never been a Glasgow division of the charity, considering the shipbuilding and seafaring heritage of Glasgow.

Gerard McGeever, Founder and Chairperson of Glasgow MNA, said: "These fleets, officers, men and women sustained our island nation over two world wars and this year, it is no less poignant on the 40th anniversary of the Falklands war which could not have been staged without the Merchant Navy.
"The Merchant Navy is the 4th service and we are committed to recognising the contribution made by all sailors of Merchant ships and fishing fleets.
"We, therefore, open this branch with a strong sense of duty to those lost in conflict but also a deep respect for those still serving in some inhospitable and dangerous circumstances in an uncertain world. "
