DRIVERS are being warned of rush-hour delays as part of the Clydeside Expressway is closed.

Glasgow City Council issued a warning to motorists travelling in and out of the city that they could face delays in getting home.

A collision on the Clydeside Expressway eastbound has resulted in the closure and a possible back-up of traffic.

The update said: "Due to an earlier road traffic collision, delays can be expected on the A814 Cydeside Expressway eastbound between Hayburn/Partick Link and Finnieston Street junctions."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a one vehicle crash on the Clydeside Expressway at around 5.35pm on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.

“Emergency services attended and police assisted with traffic management.

“The road is closed eastbound.”

At 7.35pm, a Traffic Information Bulletin update was issued to confirm that the road was fully reopened.
