FIVE arrests have been made after a protest was carried out at Kelvingrove Art Gallery today.
Police confirmed that they were called to the scene of the West End museum after receiving a report of a protest taking place.
Three women, aged 20, 26 and 27, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
Cops also arrested a 31-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man in connection with a 'number' of offences.
The force did not give details of the offences.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.40pm on Wednesday, June 29, officers were called to a report of a protest at Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery in Glasgow.
“Officers attended and engaged with those present.
“Three women aged 20, 26 and 27 years have been arrested and charged, and one woman aged 31 years along with a 24-year-old man have been arrested in connection with a number of offences.
"Police enquiries are continuing.
"Police Scotland is a rights-based organisation that puts our values of integrity, fairness, respect and a commitment to upholding human rights at the heart of everything we do.
"This means that we will protect the rights of people who wish to peacefully protest or counter-protest, balanced against the rights of the wider community.”
