A NEW KFC restaurant and drive-thru could be opening soon in Glasgow.
Planning applications have been submitted to Glasgow City Council for the fried chicken chain to be built in the car park at Asda in Robroyston.
The proposal details "a single-storey building to be used as both a restaurant and hot food takeaway, incorporating a 'drive-thru' facility, associated car and cycle parking, refuse storage and plant."
If successful, the restaurant would be located on the east side of the Asda store which is currently used for parking.

As well as drive-thru functions, there will be a separate collection area for Just Eat and Deliveroo drivers.
It is stated that the opening hours would be 24 hours and that approximately 20 full-time and 20 part-time staff members would be taken on.
Objections have been submitted by a local resident, with concerns including the increase of junk food eateries in Glasgow and potential issues with traffic movement in the retail park.
