Repairs to the burst water main are due to take place at 11 pm tonight in an effort to minimise the disruption to water supplies in the area.
In a statement, Scottish Water said: "Please be aware that when the repair commences, you may experience no water supply or low/intermittent water pressure.
"You may also experience discoloured water."
There is currently no set time frame as to how long the repairs will last.
