A man is due in court after an estimated £800,000 of drugs were discovered at a property in Paisley today.
Acting on a tip-off, specialist police units seized large quantities of what is believed to be cocaine and cannabis from a flat on Albion Street shortly after 9 am.
A 25-year-old was arrested and charged in connection with the find and will appear at Paisley Sheriff Court tomorrow.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Chief Inspector Douglas Falconer said: “We will continue to disrupt drug supply in our communities wherever we find it. Tackling illegal drugs and removing them from our communities continues to be a priority for us.
“If you have information or concerns about drugs within the local area, do not hesitate to contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
