Make your way down a quiet lane in Shawlands and you'll find a quirky new food spot from the team behind one of Glasgow's most popular Japanese restaurants.

Hidden from the busy footfall of Pollokshaws Road at the bottom of Park Lane is the Yakitori Shack, a new venture by Ramen Dayo, that will soon be serving fresh skewers of meat and vegetables cooked over a sizzling charcoal grill.

Glasgow Times:

Using a traditional Robata BBQ with coals imported from Japan, chefs say the unique cooking method allows for the 'perfect amount of heat and smoke' to give create perfectly 'juicy and flavourful' dishes.

Clearly excited about its arrival, the organisers of the popular monthly Park Lane Market took to social media to welcome the shack to its new home earlier this week.

They said: "Happy Friday guys.

"We would like to welcome to new addition to the lane, @yakitorishack."

The Yakitori Shack will be open to the public from Friday, 15 July at 974 Pollokshaws Road, just across from Queens's Park.
