A BODY has been found in the search for a missing man.
James McDonald had been reported missing on Thursday, July 7.
Police made the discovery at around 5.20pm the following day, July 8, of the body of a man.
He was found in the Grampian Road area of Wishaw.
While he was yet to be formally identified, officers informed the family of the 40-year-old.
No suspicious circumstances were established surrounding the death and a report is being submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.20pm on Friday, July 8, 2022 the body of a man was discovered in Grampian Road, Wishaw.
"Formal identification has yet to take place but the family of James McDonald, 40, who has been missing since Thursday, July 7 has been made aware.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
