Liverpudlian folk singer Jamie Webster took his TRNSMT spot to hit out at the establishment.

The star joined Sam Fender, who performed on Friday, with an anti-Conservative rant of ‘f**k the Tories’.

The political moment seemed to be the theme of the weekend with Maximo Park also having a dig at the current situation with the Government during their Saturday set.

He said: “There is a load of young people here right.

“I don’t think any other party is doing anyone any favours.

“See us young people now this is the perfect time for us to shape our own future and take back control.”

Earlier he opened up his set with the query? “Are you all mad with it?” before launching into Living for Yesterday.

He said: “I’ve been to Glasgow a couple of times now and it’s like a second home.”

Something’s Gotta Give was just beautiful with Webster showcasing the unique tone of his voice.

Introducing North End Kid, he told the crowd he went to festivals including T in the Park as a punter.

He revealed: “Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be at a festival playing in front of you lot.”
