PAOLO Nutini has appeared to announce that he will play at Glasgow's OVO Hydro.

The Paisley-born singer-songwriter shared a photo of the iconic concert venue on his Facebook and Twitter pages.

Only, the Hydro's front facade was emblazoned with a photo of the album cover for Paolo's latest release, Last Night in the Bittersweet.

No words accompanied the post, but fans have already reacted to the news of one, or possibly multiple, shows at the venue.

One said: "Was waiting patiently for this. You need to do at least 7 + nights give us all a chance to get a ticket."

Another commented: "If a don't get tickets to this wan the world is gonny feel my wrath man."

An excited Nutini fan added: "Aaarrrggggg.....when is this happening."

The cryptic announcement comes just days after the Through the Echoes singer performed to thousands at TRNSMT in his first live performance after a long hiatus.

Could the Hydro mark Paolo's return to touring?
