A MAN was escorted from a house by cops after a crowd of people gathered outside.
Video footage shared on social media shows the property being filmed from the outside while people in the background can be heard shouting.
The three-hour video later shows people standing outside the property in Barrhead on Monday afternoon while police vehicles and officers begin to surround the area.
They can be heard chanting "beast", "cheerio", "bye bye" and "don't come back".
The crowd erupts into applause as a police car's siren starts and the car leaves the street.
It is understood that officers assisted the man in leaving the area, but no arrests were made.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.40pm on Monday, July 11, 2022, police responded to a report of a protest outside an address in Barrhead.
"Advice and assistance was provided to those in attendance and the protesters dispersed.
"No arrests have been made."
