A MAN has been arrested following a police pursuit and crash in the city's East End.
The incident occurred earlier today when road policing officers carrying out speeding checks attempted to stop a white Mercedes on Edinburgh road at around 1.20pm.
The car failed to stop and a short pursuit took place before it was then involved in a crash with a van on Carntynehall Road.

Cops confirmed the driver of the Mercedes, a 30-year-old man, has been arrested in connection with various road traffic offences and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
The 54-year-old male driver of the van was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.20pm on Tuesday, July 12, road policing officers carrying out speeding checks attempted to stop a white Mercedes car in Edinburgh Road, Glasgow.
"It failed to stop and a short pursuit took place.
"The car was then involved in a crash with a van nearby in Carntynehall Road.
"The driver of the van, a 54-year-old man, was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
"The driver of the Mercedes, a 30-year-old man, has been arrested in connection with various road traffic offences and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal."
